Khalifa University Alumni Reconnect at Prestigious Gala Dinner

Dinner was hosted at Khalifa University’s Abu Dhabi campus and included alumni from 1994 to the present

Khalifa University recently held its third annual Alumni Reunion Gala Dinner at its Abu Dhabi campus. Graduates attended the event from 1994 to the latest graduating class of 2013 many of whom are industry leaders and hold senior positions in government and the private sector.

The event was organized by the University’s Alumni Association which is charged with developing events programs and initiatives to connect the University with its alumni employers current and prospective students.

Entertainment at the event included an exhibition of current student projects the presentation of awards to active alumni including two recent alumni speakers Ebrahim Al Alkeem and Talal Salim Al Sabiri who spoke to students about their achievements and work experience and stage performances by entertainers.

“It’s always wonderful to gather our alumni together to catch up and see how they are doing and to show them what our current students and faculty are up to ” said Dr. Arif Al Hammadi Executive Vice President of Khalifa University. “Our alumni are key players in the UAE and they’re input and assistance is of great benefit to our students and to the University as a whole.  We are pleased that they are so involved with the university hosting speaker’s series and mentorships as well as arranging internships and work experience opportunities. All of this is hugely beneficial to our current students.”

Alumni who attended the event spoke about how much they enjoyed reuniting with old classmates and professors meeting fellow alumni and the importance of continuing to support the University.

The Alumni Gala Dinner provides an opportunity for our alumni to socialize and network with their peers and serves as a reminder of the extraordinary connection they have to each other because of this remarkable institution. Khalifa University is their home no matter where they roam which means that everyone who attended will always be part of each other’s family and future.”

Khalifa University offers several extensive undergraduate programs in Aerospace Engineering Biomedical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems Industrial and Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering with a concentration in Software Systems.

Graduate degrees at Khalifa University are awarded for independent investigation into specialized areas of communication computer or electronics engineering in KU’s Master’s by Research program students can specialize in Electrical and Computer Mechanical Aerospace Biomedical Nuclear or Robotics Engineering.  Students also have the option of pursuing a Master’s in Information Security or a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering. In addition they can also pursue their PhD. in Engineering.
