KU Welcomes BT for EBTIC Tour.
Etisalat BT Innovation Center (EBTIC) recently hosted two members of British Telecommunications’ (BT) top leadership at Khalifa University’s Abu Dhabi campus.
Gavin Patterson Chief Executive Officer BT Group plc and Kevin Taylor President Asia Middle East and Africa visited EBTIC and met with senior management of EBTIC and Khalifa University: Dr. Arif Al Hammadi Executive Vice President and Dr. Mohammed Al Mualla Senior Vice President of Research and Development and EBTIC board member. Representatives from Etisalat were also present including Mr. Nasser Salim General Manager of Emirates Data Clearing House (Etisalat Group) and EBTIC board member and Mr. Abdulaziz Al Mutawa Senior Vice President Technology Innovations Etisalat.
The purpose of the visit was to view advancements and accomplishments at EBTIC — a jointly established research and innovation center. EBTIC aims to advance intelligent systems technologies for Next Generation Networks (NGNs) and NGN-enabled ICT applications and services in order to facilitate develop and enable the Digital Networked Economy in the UAE and beyond.
The representatives from BT were given an overview of the work currently being conducted at EBTIC in collaboration with Etisalat BT and Khalifa University and the value EBTIC delivers to its partners.
