Students along with their parents and school representatives had the opportunity to listen to speeches by Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi the Managing Director of the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) and Dr. Arif Al Hammadi Executive Director of the Higher Education Sector at Abu Dhabi Education Council. Visiting students were provided with Lego Robots which they can assemble later and use at the exciting Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) camp that Khalifa University will be hosting in August.

Perhaps most exciting of all was that the top two students accepted to join Khalifa University after applying at the event will be able to accompany Khalifa University’s undergraduate field trip to Japan this summer.

The goal of the event was to highlight Khalifa University’s offerings to the students and give them an idea of what student life is like. The day also included peer-to-peer conversations with current Khalifa University students and a tour of the campus as well as an opportunity to apply online for admissions.

“Khalifa University has a reputation for accepting the best students who are taught by the best faculty and who go on to become leaders of industry ” said Dr. Mohammed Al Mualla Senior Vice President of Research and Development. “Inviting these students to our campus is a fantastic opportunity to show them why we have such high standards and what they will achieve if they choose to come here. Attending Khalifa University is a step in the right direction for their future and the future of the country.”
