Sixty Khalifa University Students Intern with Prestigious International Industry Leaders

Twice as many students as last year will travel to nine countries.

Sixty Khalifa University students have accepted prestigious internships with industry leaders in nine different countries around the world.  The students who are all completing their final year at Khalifa University will travel to the USA Australia the United Kingdom France Germany South Korea Japan Ireland and Italy.

The number of students attending overseas internships is double the amount sent last year. The organizations for whom the students will be working are leaders in their respective industries including Airbus Dassault Diehl LG and Mitsubishi. Five biomedical engineering students will have the opportunity to travel to Perth Australia to work for the Center for Forensic Science. In addition seven students from varying programs will be going to work for Children’s National–The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation in Washington D.C. USA.

This is the first year that many of the organizations will be accepting Khalifa University Students. Those orgnaizations include AMEC Foster Wheeler a UK based engineering consultancy; Cook Medical a biomedical engineering firm in Ireland; Fincantieri a shipbuilding firm located in Italy; and Rockwell Collins France which provides avionics and information technology systems and services to governmental agencies and aircraft manufacturers.

The knowledge and experience that they bring back with them will be invaluable to their future careers and to the UAE.”
