Abstract

As we strive to transition towards a more sustainable future, the role of advanced materials will be massive. Graphene and graphene-based materials have the potential to revolutionize various industries and applications by enabling more efficient and sustainable products and processes. Graphmatech is Swedish startup Company with technology platform applicable across the green transition verticals such as the hydrogen economy, energy storage and electrification.

In the hydrogen economy sector, Graphmatech's polymer-graphene composites has been shown to reduce hydrogen leakage by more than 60%, compared to traditional hydrogen storage methods. Such materials are used in hydrogen storage tanks and transportation pipelines that are more robust, safer, and have better hydrogen retention capabilities, addressing some of the key challenges associated with hydrogen storage and transportation. This not only makes hydrogen a safer and more reliable source of clean energy but also helps to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future.

In the energy storage sector, Graphmatech is developing a technology that upcycles Li-ion batteries' black mass waste into graphene, reducing waste and creating a circular business model. The resulting graphene is later introduced, in a novel process, into new batteries and improve the batteries' performance by more than 80%.

In the electrification sector, Graphmatech has a metal-graphene technology that play a significant role by improving metals properties. Metal-graphene composites have the potential to replace traditional materials and reduce the dependency on scarce metals in various applications, reducing the carbon footprint and accelerating the green transition. In conclusion, Graphmatech’s technology platform has the potential to enable and accelerate the green transition by enabling sustainable and efficient processes in various sectors. As we continue to search for solutions to the world's climate challenges, the role of graphene advanced materials will only become more critical.
