Technology Overview

There is an increasing market need for down-scaling basic electronic devices to the nano-range for meeting practical demands, such as saving power consumption, obtaining optimum high speed, and meeting consumer preferences. The developed nano-tunneling field effect transistor based on nano-metal particles could potentially address power concerns in nano-electronics and accelerate down-scaling. The transistor includes a source and a drain in which each is comprised of a nano-cluster of metal atoms.
