
Recognition in ‘Social Action’ Category for Dr. Almarri’s Exceptional Contribution to Creating Positive Social Change and Improving Lives
Khalifa University alumnus Dr. Saeed Mubarak Kharbash Almarri, a Spring 2004 Bachelor’s graduate in Telecommunications Engineering, was shortlisted as a finalist in the Social Action category for his exceptional contribution to creating positive social change and improving the lives of others, at the Study UK Alumni Awards 2026, a globally recognized program celebrating the achievements of international graduates of UK universities.
The Study UK Alumni Awards recognize alumni who demonstrate leadership, impact, and commitment to positive change in their respective fields and communities. Dr. Almarri’s finalist status highlights the contribution of UAE scholars to global research and underscores the country’s ongoing investment in human capital development and knowledge-based advancement through Khalifa University.
Dr. Almarri is currently CEO of Policies, Research and Programs Sector at Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), leading education policy across early years to lifelong learning. With more than 19 years’ experience, he has held senior roles at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Abu Dhabi National Energy Company TAQA, Istithmar World, Dubai Culture and the World Government Summit.

Dr. Almarri holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, and an MBA in Islamic Finance from Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London.
