KU Prep Program Students Showcase Projects During Open House

Presentations Included English Poetry Videos Mathematics Tutorials and Crime Scene Investigation Projects

Khalifa University’s Preparatory Program students held an Open House on April 13 2015 to showcase projects and deliver demonstrations. The event was attended by Khalifa University management faculty staff and friends and family of the students.

Students presented English poetry videos Mathematics tutorials and Crime Scene Investigation Projects in addition to chemistry and physic experiments such as homemade lava lamps and natural pH indicators as well as motion and light sensors.

“We are proud of our Prep Program students and how much they have progressed in their year with us. Studying engineering is challenging and our prep program works hard to prepare them for the rigorous studies they will be engaged in ” said Jim Robert Boyce Director of Preparatory Program. “The program is unique in the UAE as it includes physics chemistry computer science mathematics and English. It is a demanding year of study for our students. The Open House this year was a chance to showcase our students and faculty working together in the science laboratories and computer classroom. It was also an excellent opportunity for our students to demonstrate their knowledge and communication skills.”
