Khalifa University will present Internship and Sponsorship Opportunities at Najah

Interested students will also have the opportunity to talk to faculty and current students.

Khalifa University will participate in the upcoming Najah Career Fair Education and Training Exhibition that will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from October 27 to the 29 2015. The University will take the opportunity to discuss the unique internship opportunities it offers students through its local and international collaborative partners. Faculty students and staff on hand will also be able to guide students with information about sponsorship partners including the National Electronic Security Authority (Nesa) the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) ADNOC and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).

This past summer saw a record number of Khalifa University students accept international internships with companies like Airbus the Center for Forensic Science at the University of Western Australia Mitsubishi and LG. Sixty students travelled to the USA UK Ireland Australia Germany France Italy South Korea and Japan for the six-week work experience programs. Sponsoring organizations also arranged for students to work at industry partners like AMEC Foster Wheeler Children’s National – Sheikh Zayed Institute Diehl Aerospace and KAIST.

In addition the University will display innovative student projects and provide visitors with information on the University’s various academic programs and available scholarships. Khalid Al Awar a student at Khalifa University will demonstrate his award-winning “Cayram” game along with a “Sail” game which was developed for the UAE’s Ministry of Environment and Water. The game offers fishermen important information in a three-dimensional virtual reality design. Fatima Alhammadi another Khalifa University student will demonstrate her project which is a parking lot occupancy monitoring system.

The University currently offers nine unique Bachelors programs including Aerospace Biomedical Communication Computer (with an optional concentration in Software Systems) Electrical and Electronic (with an optional concentration in Power Systems) and Mechanical Engineering which recently achieved ABET accreditation as well as Civil Engineering and Industrial and Systems Engineering and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with optional concentrations in Financial Mathematics/Mathematical Biology.

Khalifa University also offers a variety of Masters degrees in International and Civil Security Information Security Nuclear Engineering and M.Sc. by Research in Engineering (Electrical and Computer) as well as two new programs the Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. The University also offers several Ph.D. specializations in engineering including Mechanical Aerospace Nuclear Biomedical and Robotics. These specializations add to the existing specializations in Communication Computer and Electronic Engineering.

Emirati graduate prospective students will have an opportunity to see the benefits of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Scholarship Program (Buhooth) which offers students competitive monthly salaries for full time students health insurance to the students and their dependents covers all tuition fees study expenses international conference attendance expenses and provides job placement after graduation. The program started back in October 2007 and it currently enrolls over 25 Emirati students.
