Conference explored advances in technology and safety aspects of modern laboratories
Khalifa University held an conference on “New Dimensions for Modern Laboratories” in collaboration with Cytomed Middle East LLC on November 25th 2013 at the Jumeriah Hotel in Etihad Towers.
The conference looked at many aspects of the management of modern day laboratories including safety aspects in laboratory design the safety characteristics of laboratory furniture advances in optical and digital microscopy for industry applications exploring the latest tools for sophisticated analysis radioactive testing for industry applications quality assurance and quality control in radioactive testing laboratories the latest advances in radioactive testing technologies and the impact of real time monitoring on laboratory performance.
The conferences speakers came from a variety of international companies associated with the creation and maintenance of laboratories including Dr. A. Paul Ioannidis Vice President International Business for RJ Lee Group International who spoke on “Laboratory Accreditation Types and Requirements ” Mr. Lars Hauch Director of International Markets for Koettermann GmbH & Co KG Germany who gave insight into safety aspects in laboratory design and Mr. Michael Doppler Business Development Manager Industry DSA for Leica Microsystems Switzerland who looked at advances in digital micro imaging.
