DO NOT remove the solvent once you have crystals!

Solvent molecules frequently cocrystallize with your substance and become part of the crystal lattice. The volatile solvent molecules can evaporate from the lattice when you remove the mother liquor or dry your crystals, causing holes that can harm or even destroy your crystal. Please remember to keep your crystals within the mother liquor/solvent when submitting your sample(s). This may prevent crystal decomposition (especially if the crystal lattice contains some solvent) and makes it easier to pick crystals from the batch (and therefore prevents crystal damage).

Do you require assistance in the formation of crystals?
We can advise you on the most suitable crystallization techniques that may to lead to good-quality single crystals.

Each sample will be carefully examined under a stereomicroscope for preliminary testing. If the sample contains crystals, a small number of crystals will be placed on a microscope slide (with paratone oil) and examined under cross-polarized light.

For each sample, an application form must be submitted for your request to be processed.
