Khalifa University announced today the appointment of Dr. Jay Noren as the institution’s provost. Dr. Noren has a very long and distinguished career having held senior academic and administrative positions in the United States. He has previously served as President of Wayne State University Chancellor of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Provost of the University of Nebraska and Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has over 35 years of experience in academia and also served as a Professor in Wayne State’s School of Medicine
Dr. Noren was also the Founding Dean of the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in that role he was charged with the design and implementation of the college organization recruitment of new faculty and staff and the development of an expanded educational and research enterprise.
