The Khalifa University Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation (CELS) was conceived to improve the quality and safety of patient care through experiential educational activities that advance medical students and health care professionals skill in clinical care, communication and teamwork.
These experiences are designed around Kolb’s experiential learning theory, harnessing concrete learning experiences and active experimentation, in a safe and controlled environment, under direct supervision of subject-matter experts who provide real-time feedback for the learners. The vision of the center is to equip learners with evidence-based knowledge, attitudes and skills to engage in safe health care practice, thus promoting patient safety.
MISSION
To improve the quality and safety of patient care through experiential educational activities that advance medical students and health care professionals skill in clinical care, communication and teamwork.
