Abstract:
Drawing on multi National experience in the Energy and Water Sector before and after its liberalization and privatization, looking through my Crystal Ball into the future, Dr. Najib Dandachi will discuss and analyse the rapid transformation and disruptive evolution caused by the tension in the 3E/3D equation which defines the energy trend for the foreseeable future and the route towards Smart Energy World Order. The talk will touch on the opportunity and the added value of collaboration between Industry and Academia to support innovation and capacity building of the Sector.
Dr. Najib H Dandachi
Dr. Dandachi has a Ph.D in Electrical Power Systems from Imperial College, London. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the Power and Water Sector where he occupied a number of executive roles having worked at National Grid, UK, in the GCC Power & Water Authorities and in West Africa.
Najib is a recognized thought leader and a strategist in the Utilities Sector; he is seasoned engineering and business executive with achievements on master planning, asset management, operational excellence and capital investment planning in privatized environment.
He is involved in advisory capacity on Energy transition and the deployment of Renewable Energy Programs in several countries.
Dr. Najib is and has recently founded and is the Chairman of the UAE Chapter of the Institute of Asset Management.
