SUMMARY:Foundation Engineering Solutions: Equipment & Methods\, 2 Case Studies Bridging Theory and Practice
DESCRIPTION:After a brief introduction of NSCC International\, various available foundation engineering solutions will be presented for piling\, shoring and ground improvement\, as well as the equipment and methods used to carry out these solutions. Two case studies will be presented: a deep excavation project in Dubai next to the Burj Khalifa\, and a ground improvement project in Barka\, Oman. The design approach\, chosen methods\, and equipment will be discussed. Some example calculations will be presented\, as well as the way that certain design issues have been dealt with. \n
