DESCRIPTION:About\nAs the top-ranked university in the UAE\, Khalifa University recognizes its increasingly important role in the nation to promote learning\, knowledge and the development of new ideas\, not just within our own classrooms and labs\, but beyond into the local and global communities that we serve. \nWe are deeply committed to contributing to society through a range of partnerships and outreach activities\, including the KU Winter Webinar Series\, a string of educational webinars that will run from 10 January 2021 to 15 February 2021. This series is designed to educate and inform the general public about a variety of beneficial topics\, ranging from lessons on the coronavirus to lessons on stem cells\, space and more. \nThe series is targeted towards everyone – from high school and university students\, to parents\, professionals and anyone in between who is interested in broadening their skillset and knowledge. \nWe are pleased to offer these seminars free of charge to our local and international community of learners as an extension of our active commitment to exchanging knowledge and resources in the spirit of collaboration to promote a happier\, more engaged community\, and a more sustainable world. \nThe ultimate aim of this Webinar Series is to leverage KU’s diverse set of resources to address the needs of the larger community\, and inform and empower community members with meaningful and actionable solutions. \n\nKhalifa University faculty share their expertise on topics related to the Covid-19 vaccine. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Spring 2021 semester! \nCTL is pleased to invite you to the 2nd Virtual Professional Development (PD) Week as part of our continuous efforts to provide faculty\, staff\, and students professional development opportunities. \nThis week’s agenda will feature various topics related to the delivery of high-quality instruction online; building community with students; transformative education\, integrating general skills into the syllabus; EAB Navigate Tool\, Blackboard\, and OLC trainings for faculty and teaching staff. \nGuest speakers from New York University Abu Dhabi\, EAB Navigate\, McGraw Hill\, in addition to KU faculty\, staff\, and students\, will be presenting and leading roundtable discussions and workshops. SUMMARY:VIRTUAL UNDERGRADUATE SPRING 2021 ORIENTATION
DESCRIPTION:Khalifa University will offer a virtual orientation program for the new Undergraduate students and their parents. The aim of the orientation program is to ensure that new national and international students have a smooth and positive onboarding and transition to KU Community\, academically and socially. \nThe program will include virtual attendance registration\, welcoming speeches by KU Management and informational sessions by academic and services departments besides virtual tours for the campus and the residences. Following the program\, new joiners will be able to engage with a panel from academia and services of various offices at Khalifa University in a live Q&A Session conducted through Microsoft Teams. \nNew students and their parents will have access to some important documents such as FAQs for available services and resources\, Student Guidebook and Parent Guidebook. \nThe Office of Student Services will be ready to support and guide new students as well as answer any inquiries. New joiners can contact the Office through ugorientation@ku.ac.ae . \n
