Biography

Mr. Mohammad Abdul Majid Siddiqi is a Laboratory Engineer in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Khalifa University of Science of Technology. He received his M.S. Degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University, and Bachelor of Technology Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Mr. Majid has extensive teaching experience in the instruction of various core Undergraduate Laboratories in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, including Feedback Control Systems Laboratory, Dynamic Systems and Vibrations Laboratory, Aerodynamics Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Aircraft Design Laboratory, Thermodynamics & Heat Transfer Laboratory, and Computer Aided Design Laboratory. He also has experience in classroom teaching (including lecturing and problem solving / tutorials sessions) for core Undergraduate courses in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Majid has extensive background in Control Systems Engineering, and good experience using numerical computation and analysis software (MATLAB / Simulink), by virtue of having previously worked at the Company that makes this software (The MathWorks in Natick, Massachusetts). Mr. Majid also has extensive familiarity with Engineering Simulation Software ANSYS for Aerodynamic and Fluid Flow Analysis, and CAD software PTC Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for solid modeling. Mr. Majid has contributed as the Build and Fly Expert and Judge for the Drones Category of Emirates Skills – The National Competition, held at ADNEC every year since 2015. Mr. Majid has also been involved with curriculum design and development for Undergraduate courses and laboratories in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and has worked on ABET accreditation of Aerospace Engineering Department laboratories.
