Dr. Alefishat received her Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2011, her thesis focused on the cardiovascular system. She works as an associate professor at the college of medicine and health sciences, Khalifa University. Dr. Alefishat published several papers in peer reviewed international journals, and have collaborations with colleagues from the United States and the United Kingdom. Her research is in the area of cardiovascular, metabolic diseases, inflammation, and circadian disruption and its relationship with insulin resistance.
