Assistant Professor, Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics & Acting Associate Dean, Student Affairs

Dr. Mohammad Al Bataineh received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Jordan University of Science and Technology and subsequently earned a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he was the principal investigator for a project funded by the National Institute of Health. Prior to joining Khalifa University, he was at the University of Sharjah as an Assistant Professor.

His research interest is to explore the human gut microbiome interplay with health and disease conditions in multi-omic approaches.
