Dr. Hongxia Li is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Khalifa University and co-founder of the startup company Micro-Lightology. She has been actively working on thermofluids, phasechange and multiphase flow, micro-3D printing and novel material/surface engineering for water-energy nexus. She received her PhD degree from Masdar Institute, Khalifa University in 2018. She was a visiting researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Texas at San Antonio. To date, she has filed five international patent applications, and two of them are granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Besides, she has more than 30 journal and conference publications including top journals such as Nature Energy, Nature Communication, Joule, ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, and Soft Matter. Her publications have been cited more than 1500 times.
