Dr. Hamdan received his M.Sc in molecular biology from LAU and his PhD in molecular neurobiology from UAMS (USA). His postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine (USA) was focused on mechanisms regulating localization and retention of proteins at the axon initial segments and nodes of Ranvier. Prior to joining Khalifa University, he worked as assistant professor of neurophysiology at Alfaisal University in KSA.
