Dr. Ahmad has completed his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IITP) in the year 2020. During his PhD, he worked on the fracture analysis and electro mechanical biaxial characterization of soft materials used as dielectric elastomers. He developed a biaxial planar tensile testing device which is also granted for a patent.
His research interests are mainly focused on synthesis, characterization, modeling and analysis of soft materials applied as dielectric elastomers, morphing wings, elastomer matrix composites and aerospace applications.
Dr. Ahmad is an accomplished and independent researcher with collaborative skills for different research areas. He has published quality journals in the field of dielectric elastomers and recently focused in morphing wing, additive manufacturing and structural analysis for aerospace application.
He has also served in the HVAC industry as a project engineer in Fedders Lloyd Corporation Limited, India. He was associated with Mind Tree as a senior design engineer and worked as a faculty in Jamia Millia Islamia, India.
