The Pre-Medicine Bridge Program is designed to provide courses to current students who have completed a bachelor’s degree. The educational goals of the program are to prepare students for entry into Khalifa University’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
The Pre-Medicine Bridge program consists of courses that are delivered by a lecturer in person or online. As each student attending the program will come with their unique skill-set and knowledge, the courses are designed to fill gaps in information as well as develop reading, comprehension, and math proficiencies. By developing these skills, the program will establish whether a candidate can demonstrate advanced knowledge, and in doing so, fulfill the requirements of entry into a postgraduate medical program. Students will be assessed using the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT®).

The program invites applications for a Lecturer position with a Master’s degree and Sr. Lecturer with a Ph.D. degree in Biology/Biochemistry or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Particular emphasis will be placed on candidates with a background in Biology and Biochemistry.
The candidate is expected to provide a high-quality learning experience to the students of the Pre-Medicine Bridge Program in subject areas listed allocated to them and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of Khalifa University.
Successful candidates are expected to teach at the graduate level within the Pre-Medicine Bridge Program and undergraduate level as needed.
A Master’s and Ph.D. in related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 4 years of experience relevant to the position is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in instructing premedical students within a North American medical education model.
