Brief Description Reporting to the Associate Dean forClinical Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education at KhalifaUniversity’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) supports theAssociate Dean in providing administrative leadership, policy development, andimplementation of programs in the areas of curriculum, student assessment andevaluation, and student academic support.
Job Requirements QualificationsRequired Qualifications:MDQualified for faculty appointment atthe rank of Assistant Professor or higherPrior leadership role inundergraduate medical education Preferred Qualifications:Regional, national or internationalrecognition in medical educationDemonstrable accomplishments inteaching, research, healthcare delivery, and/or service at a level commensurateof Assistant Professor or above. ExperienceRequired Experiences:Strong record reflecting excellencein medical education and administration.Prior experience working as a coursedirector in a MD programProven management experience,requisite expertise in working collaboratively with faculty members andmedicine professionals, strong interpersonal skills, and a thoroughunderstanding of university structure and culture are essential.Demonstrable ethical behavior,professionalism, interpersonal skills, leadership and management abilities thatare sufficient to effectively direct and develop staff and students. Preferred Experiences:Five (5) or more years of experiencesupervising curriculum design and development in an undergraduate medicaleducation programFamiliarity or experience with aneducation institution in the Middle East.
