Dr. Al Shalabi is currently an Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi. His research interests are focused on enhanced/improved-oil recovery techniques (EOR/IOR), and reservoir simulation and modeling. Dr. Al Shalabi has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific journal papers and conference proceedings. He also delivered several presentations in international conferences. Moreover, he serves as a reviewer for reputable international journals including SPE Journal, SPE Reservoir Engineering and Evaluation Journal, and Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas, USA. Dr. Al Shalabi achieved a number of educational and research awards. He is an SPE Certified Petroleum Engineer (SPEC) and also a professional SPE member since 2006.
