Sarah S. Bawazir is a lab Instructor and an Academic Researcher at Khalifa University for Science Technology and Research (KU). Sarah serves as an advisory board member for the Beacon of Hope UAE initiative founded by H.H. Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. Sarah is a Hamdan Award winner for her distinguished academic performance.

She graduated with a master of science degree by research in Electrical and Computer Engineering from KU in June 2016 after which she joined Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovations in Washington DC, USA as a research traineein the bioengineering division. Sarah obtained her bachelor of science degree with a high honors distinction in Communication Engineering from KU in 2014 during which she worked closely with Etisalat British Telecom Innovation Centre (EBTIC) for her undergraduate internship, independent study and capstone project under the umbrella of Green information and communication technology.

Sarah is a Young Future Energy Leaders’ (YFEL) alumna from the class of 2012 and she is a member of the RTA Innovation Group and was a mentee with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.
