Dr. Samah received her Ph.D. degree in Optical Science and Engineering from University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 2010 and her M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering/ Optics and Photonics Technology from UAH in 2007. She received her first M.Sc. degree in Physics (Applied Mathematical Physics) from Jordan University in 2000 and completed the course work of Ph.D. degree in Physics at Jordan University before she was granted a graduate scholarship from UAH/USA.
Samah has been working in Khalifa University since 2013. She was part of the AMS department as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Samah had been an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering in Jeddah, KSA since 2010, Research Assistant at National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) and NASA in Huntsville, Alabama, USA.
Samah’s research focuses on development of high refractive index Cherenkov detectors with a specialization in the use of different optical materials in detector design.
Samah was awarded a Teaching Appreciation certificate at UAH/USA in 2004.
I have great experience in teaching courses related with Physics, Optical Science and some Electrical Engineering at undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, I have great experience and fun in teaching Mathematics and Electronics courses at undergraduate level.
My research focused on development of high refractive index Cherenkov detectors with a specialization in the use of different optical materials in detector design.
