Wael Al-Sokary has been teaching full-time since 1992. His expertise includes teaching English, linguistics, ESL methodology, and engineering design. He has worked in Egypt, the USA, and the UAE. He currently teaches English, Linguistics and Engineering Design.

Mr. Al-Sokary teaches a wide range of courses focusing on English and engineering. These include Introduction to Linguistics; English Communications I, Strategies for Team-Based Engineering Problem-Solving I and II, and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Design Project I and II.
In addition to his interest in computational and comparative linguistics, Mr. Al-Sokary’s recent research focuses on engineering education, especially on topics related to the improvement of design process assessment; the teaching of non-technical skills to engineers; and gender and team building within engineering projects in the UAE.
