Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry

Dr. Sulafudin Vukusic is an assistant professor in the Chemistry Department at Khalifa University. Prior to that, he worked at the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi and Al Jubail Industrial College in Saudi Arabia. His recent area of research is water-soluble polymers for use in enhanced oil recovery. Other areas of research have focused on polymer nanocomposites and environmental aspects of polymers.

Dr. Vukusic is currently teaching and coordinating an organic chemistry course and a graduate course in polymer chemistry. He has also taught and coordinated a variety of other courses including introduction to polymer science and technology, polymer reaction engineering, and freshman and foundation chemistry. In addition, he has taught organic and general chemistry to students in the Pre-Medicine Bridge Program.
